The Teachers

Ania Caplin

@ania_yoga

Ania's Yoga journey began in 2008, with the simple desire to use her practice as part of her physiotherapy to address ongoing scoliosis.

"Through yoga, I became a true believer that yoga does cure – lengthening and strengthening has improved my posture, continuously prevents me from chronic back pain and helps me grow mentally, emotionally, physically in ways I have never expected. Literally I have grown 2.5 cm!!!"

After graduating 200hr Yoga Alliance Teacher Training she explored the subject of Yoga in India where she participated in Himalayan Iyengar Institute courses and many various styles of yoga.

She teaches with passion and energy, encouraging students and supporting them on their personal yoga journey building an awareness and understanding of their bodies with correct breath, alignment and point of focus. In Ania's classes, expect to breathe, laugh and sweat!

Ania is a qualified Pregnancy Yoga Teacher and teaches mums to be, to help them enjoy their pregnancy with minimal discomfort, cultivate breath awareness and strengthen the body in preparation for labour. She teaches a broad variety of styles including Hatha, Vinyasa Flow, Ashtanga, Nidra, Restorative, Prenatal & Postnatal.

She teaches with good humour and openness, her style is flavoured with elements of a range of disciplines from Qi Gong to Ashtanga. Her classes emphasise the co-ordination of breath and movement, with sequences which flow organically between postures to energise and nourish body and mind. It’s good for Mum, it’s good for baby!

I build a sense of community within my classes, which will help to create a springboard for long lasting friendships amongst students.

January 1st- Full Yogic Breath

For January 1st! Join us for full yogic breath!
Sit comfortably, use a cushion or chair if sitting cross legged is uncomfortable. With a long spine, face & shoulders relaxed. Observe the natural rhythm of your breath.

Place your right hand on the belly & send breath here. Feel any movement created by the breath (If you pregnant you may not feel much movement, but visualise sending breath down to your belly and to your baby).

Next place your left hand over your heart/upper ribs & feel the flow of your breath into belly & then your ribs. Observe this movement for several minutes & let go of anything that no longer serves you for this New Year 2015!
